HOW HEARD CAN EARN

Free discovery.
Transparent commerce.

Heard’s launch model is performance-based commerce: help people find relevant products, then earn an agreed commission when an approved partner can attribute a qualifying purchase.

For shoppers

Browsing, following, collections, and saved finds are free. Original creator offers remain visible. A sponsorship or product mention is labelled by its source; inclusion is not an independent review or a promise of the lowest price.

For creators

A directory listing is free and does not imply a partnership. We preserve the creator’s existing referral URL. Our pilot proposal is an equal split of net commission with participating creators; the signed agreement determines the actual share. Joint campaigns require creator permission and that agreed share recorded before activation. We do not silently replace creator tracking.

For brands

Partnerships use an approved affiliate program or direct agreement. The agreement defines the qualifying sale, commission, attribution, returns, and payment timing. There is no fee to buy a higher position in the discovery feed.

Where we are today

The site supports partnership applications, separately labelled approved partner links, aggregate outbound-click reporting, and a commission ledger. Revenue starts only after partners approve a campaign. Clicks are not sales, and recorded commissions are not payouts.

What we measure

We count outbound clicks by day, product, podcast, and link type. We do not store shopper identities, IP addresses, or browsing histories in these counts. Partner merchants may apply their own tracking and privacy policies after you leave Heard.

Why this model

A purchase is a stronger signal of value than a paid placement. Keeping discovery free reduces friction, while explicit partner links preserve trust and avoid overwriting existing creator commissions. Creator revenue shares are contractual, not assumed from a podcast mention.
